Executive Board

The shares of Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences B.V. (Wittenborg) are owned 100% by the Stichting Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences Executive (the Foundation). To ensure continuity, the foundation is part of Wittenborg's governance structures and represents legal compliance and overall risk management.

The Executive Board (the Executive) represents the Foundation and forms the decision-making Management of Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences.

Its members are Peter Birdsall, Chair of the Executive Board (President),  Maggie Feng, CEO and Karen Penninga, Director of Corporate Governance; and Myra Qiu, Head of Executive Affairs. The Executive reports to the Advisory Board.

Maggie Feng, MSc, CEO

Maggie Feng, MSc, is a Member of the Executive Board, and is CEO at Wittenborg. She holds an MSc degree in Facility Management from the University of Greenwich (UK). As CEO, Maggie is responsible for Events, Public Relations, Campus Development, Human Resource, Communication, Internal Quality Assurance, and Student Support. Karen Penninga

Karen Penninga has been a member of the Executive Board since 2015 and has special responsibility for Strategy and Policy within the institute. She has experience in many disciplines, including HRM, finances, management, marketing, communication, student applications and registrations and facilities. Karen has worked for Wittenborg since 2004.

Myra Qiu, MSc, FHEA, Process & Quality Manager

Myra Qiu, MSc, FHEA, obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in International Logistics Management at HAN University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands.
