Meeting the criteria for accreditation is described in general a policy document of the accrediting institution (FIBAA, NVAO, QAA, etc.) for each programme, coupled with an assessment of the institution and reflected in a Self-Assessment report, which is a guide to an accreditation process, and the document on which accreditation panels and authorities make their judgment of a particular programme or institution. The accreditation panel produces a report which describes whether or not an institution has met the accreditation assessment criteria.
