Academic Partnerships and Agreements

As an international business school, Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences is committed to establishing academic partnerships and agreements with universities and business schools from across the world.

We develop these partnerships in order to offer unique joint programmes and study abroad opportunities to our Dutch and our international students, as well as engage in research projects together with partner universities under international research funding, such as Erasmus+.

University of Brighton (UK)

Brighton University

Wittenborg has an Institutional Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Brighton, and specific agreements with the School of Services Management and Sport, and the School of Business.

Deakin University (Australia)

Wittenborg has signed its first partnership agreement with Deakin University, Australia, which was ranked in the top 1% of the world’s universities by the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) last year and it has just entered the Top 200.

WUAS aims to develop a double degree Masters with Deakin which will allow students to study in Australia as part of their programme.

Deakin is accredited by AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), and is in the process of obtaining accreditation EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System). The most sought after international accreditations for business schools are AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS). Only about 90 schools around the world hold this so-called “triple crown” accreditation. Wittenborg is in the process of obtaining both AACSB and AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditation. 

Financial University (Russia)

Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (established in 1919 as the Moscow Institute of Economics & Finance) is a large Russian university with around fifty thousand students, and is developing life-long learning programmes. 

Wittenborg and Financial University are developing a joint MBA, as well as student and faculty exchange programmes.

Shanghai Business School (China)

Wttenborg University has had a partnership with SBS since 2011 and its students visit the Shanghai Business School campus on a yearly study and culture week. Shanghai Business School students can study at Wittenborg through Credit Transfer agreements that allow them to take their credits back to Shanghai for graduation. SBS students are also entitled to special scholarships on Wittenborg's MSc programmes.

Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (China)

Since 2011, Wittenborg has been developing an exchange programme with the Shanghai Finance University that allows for a student exchange. Students from SFU can spend 1 semester (1/2 a year) following modules of the IBA in Financial Services Management, and Wittenborg students can spend a half year period gaining credits at the Shanghai Finance University in China.

Wttenborg UAS has had a partnership with Shanghai University of Sport (SUoS) since 2017. Both parties pledge to cooperate in a spirit of greater understanding, to deepen friendly relationships, and to strengthen the ties of mutual benefit. Wittenborg UAS and SUoS will collaborate in joint academic activities, including the exchange of faculty and students, the exchange of scholarly materials and publications, and the offer of short-term programmes.

Shandong Weifang University of Science & Technology

In 2018, Wittenborg UAS and Shandong Weifang University of Science & Technology (WFUST) entered into an agreement of collaboration within the Tourism & Hospitality Management programmes. The collaboration focuses on “3+1” Joint Bachelor's Programme for Junior College Students and “4+1.5” Joint Master’s Programme for Bachelor Students from WFUST.

IU International University of Applied Sciences

Erasmus+ partner in the research project IQAinAR (Enhancement of internal quality assurance of education in teaching, learning and assessment in HEIs of Azerbaijan and Russia)

International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef is a state-recognized and accredited private university in Germany, with over 550 employees and professors and around 27,000 students, IUBH has been successfully offering bachelor and master degrees at the highest level for over ten years. In particular, our range of distance learning courses makes innovative use of today's available media options to enable our students to study at their own pace, at their own place and at their own time - completely online, without the need to be present. This guarantees maximum flexibility. Exemplary for P4 innovative methods online exams, with which students can take their exams on-demand 365 days a year. P4 therefore will be responsible for the E-platform development and creation of online training programs.

"The IQAinAR Project aims to support enhancement and development of the IQA of HEIs of partner countries with international (EU) quality standards as benchmark as well as strengthening the HEIs towards local, regional and national policies and strategies implementation. The IQA system has very broad spectrum, and this project will focus on two main areas of IQA of HEI: teaching (teaching, learning and assessment) and teacher (educator, practitioner researcher) as teacher plays key role of QA of teaching. Additionally, IQA lies within a culture of quality awareness, critical review and of continue-improvement attitude and actions within HEI’s. This project is aiming at supporting the further quality culture development within HEI’s of partner countries."

University of Eastern Finland

Wittenborg's Knowledge Partner in the Erasmus+ project "Eco-systems of Open Science Schooling: Making open science schooling a reality for secondary school students"

UEF is a multidisciplinary university, which offers teaching in more than 100 major subjects. We have four faculties: the Philosophical Faculty, the Faculty of Science and Forestry, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies.Within the Philosophical Faculty, the School of Educational Science and Psychology is found. The School has over 900 basic degree students and around 100 postgraduate degree students enrolled.

University of Zagreb

As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, BBA students and staff at Wittenborg have the opportunity to spend one or two semesters at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb

The University of Zagreb is one of the oldest universities in Southeastern Europe. Its English-taught Bachelor’s degrees in Business programmes hold the international EPAS Accreditation.  

Wittenborg also warmly welcomes Erasmus+ students and staff at all of its locations. The programme aims to offer people of all ages the opportunity to develop and share their knowledge at institutions in different countries.
