Quality Systems Overview

Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences offers a range of programmes and courses that fall into different categories of accreditation and validation, however all its programmes are covered by its own internal Quality System.

Internal Quality Assurance

Internal Quality Assurance and Control is carried out by the Education Board, the Examination Board and the Quality Manager. The Education Board is chaired by University management. The Examination Board is independent of direct management control, however reports its findings to the board.

External Quality Assurance

External Quality Assurance and Control at Wittenborg is monitored or carried out by a range of independent organisations within and outside of the Netherlands:

Netherlands

  • The Netherlands Ministry of Education

    • The Netherlands and Flanders Accreditation Organisation (NVAO)
    • The Dutch Education Inspectorate
  • The National Commission for International Students in the Netherlands (The Code of Conduct)
  • The IB Group (Student Finance)
  • The Nuffic (International Education / Study in Holland)
  • The Netherlands Ministry of Justice (Immigration Service)

The United Kingdom

  • The University of Brighton (Quality Assurance for joint programmes)
  • The QAA (Oversees University of Brighton’s partnerships and off-shore programmes)
  • The British Council (Oversees UK Offshore programmes)

Germany / Switzerland / Austria

  • The Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBBA)
