Background

Anne-Marie Filip-Beil, PhD, is a senior lecturer and as such is responsible for modules on quantitative and research methods. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from Duke University, US, and an MSc in Mathematics-Mechanics from the University of Bucharest, Romania. Besides her appointment at Wittenborg, Anne-Marie is a senior lecturer at New European College and a lecturer at the International School of Management in Germany. In 2018 she obtained a Professional Certificate in Data Science from Ludwig- Maxilmilians-Universität, Institut für Statistik, Germany.

Previously, she worked as an instructor at MBA Center München, Germany, Assistant Professor (tenured) at Ryerson University, Canada, Adjunct Professor at Lakehead University and Lakehead Business School, Canada, and as an Instructor and Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University. Dr Filip-Beil’s research interests cover a broad range: from image processing and travelling of waves in photonic media, to life insurance mathematics and business forecasting. Some of her previous work has been published in well-known journals. Her main research themes are data science, primarily in the domain of business forecasting and marketing research and her spheres of interest are business mathematics, data mining, multivariate data analysis, time series modelling, forecasting, neuroscience.
