New Wittenborg Lecturer Passes Away Suddenly
Dutch lecturer, Arjaan Stapert, died unexpectedly this week after recently joining Wittenborg as a member of the academic team. Close friend and colleague, Bert Meeuwsen, remembers him fondly.

When Wittenborg Amsterdam lecturer, Dr Yasmina Khadir-Poggi, recently obtained her PhD from Trinity College Dublin, none other than US presidential candidate and former first lady, Hillary Clinton, was the guest speaker at her graduation ceremony. Clinton also received an honorary degree from Trinity College, one of Europe’s most renowned institutions of education.
Wittenborg Lecturer Writes Book on Syria War Victims
While the world has grown weary of the armed conflict in Syria, for ordinary Syrians the nightmare continues. To revive interest in their plight, Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences’ senior lecturer, Dr Saskia Harkema, has just published a book detailing their struggles – something she hopes those far removed from the war will be able to relate to.
