Meet Hamid Azad

With a career shaped by international experience and a strong focus on leadership, Hamid Azad is a seasoned professional ready for new opportunities. Currently pursuing an MBA in International Management at Wittenborg, he combines a solid academic background in English language studies with hands-on experience in multinational companies. 

Hamid’s professional journey spans recruitment, human resources and team leadership across diverse organisations. “Working in different fields allowed me to combine practical exposure with continuous learning, which I believe is crucial for any management professional,” he says.  

Originally from Iran, Hamid chose his current programme to further develop the leadership potential he recognised during his years of practical work. “I wanted to expand that potential academically and study management in an international environment. Wittenborg, being the most international university of applied sciences in the Netherlands, was the perfect choice,” he explains.  

At Wittenborg, Hamid has strengthened skills in leadership, teamwork, analytical thinking and problem-solving. He supplements his studies with ongoing professional development through platforms like Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, HR blogs, Harvard Business Review and TED Talks. “I aim to stay informed and continuously improve my skills to remain effective in dynamic work environments,” he notes.  

Friends and colleagues describe Hamid as supportive, reliable and approachable, praising his calm problem-solving approach and enthusiasm for new experiences. A clear example of his adaptability occurred when he was assigned to manage a project under tight deadlines. He tackled the challenge methodically: assessing the project scope, researching best practices, seeking advice from experienced colleagues, prioritising tasks and maintaining open communication. “By staying proactive and leveraging available resources, I was able to successfully deliver the project on time,” he recalls.  

Looking ahead, Hamid is interested in roles that combine leadership and strong communication skills, particularly in human resources, team leadership or business development. “I want to contribute to an organisation’s growth while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Opportunities that allow me to drive change, develop talent and build strong relationships are especially appealing to me,” he says.
