Business researcher Prof. Ad Kil has been appointed as the director of Wittenborg's Doctoral College in Apeldoorn. It will be run jointly by Wittenborg and its British partner, the University of Brighton.
Wittenborg has welcomed a proposal from Dutch institutions of higher education that students at universities of applied sciences should also be given the opportunity to do PhDs and not only those at research universities.
At a Partnership Review Event, held yesterday at Falmer Campus of the University of Brighton, plans to launch a Doctoral College at Wittenborg University Apeldoorn were approved by a panel who also carried out a Partnership Review into the collaboration between Wittenborg and Brighton. The proposed Master of Arts in Education, to be delivered at Wittenborg from September, was also approved.
