Sinem was born and raised in Deventer, the Netherlands. The combination of growing up in the Netherlands, having a Turkish background and speaking four languages makes her a truly intercultural communicator. After finishing her Marketing & Communications studies, Sinem passed the exams at the Netherlands Association of Interpreters and Translators and became a certified translator of Dutch-Turkish and vice versa, specialised in the fields of legal, technical, medical and financial translations.
Before joining Wittenborg, Sinem worked as recruitment coordinator for an employment agency, and was after that for many years responsible for planning & execution of projects, marketing & communication and certified translations at a translation & localisation company.
Sinem worked for Wittenborg from 2005 until 2010. She started at the International Office, did Management Assistance among other things, and was Marketing & PR Officer for the most part. She came back to Wittenborg in 2016 to fulfil the position of Senior Communications Manager, in which she is responsible for designing, writing, editing and proof reading internal and external marketing & communications material, ensuring Wittenborg’s brand identity, contributing to the design and content of the website, and also organising events and managing other communication projects.
Currently, Sinem is also following a part-time MBA programme at Wittenborg.
