First Invitations Sent out for Wittenborg's 30th Anniversary GalaPreparations are on track for the celebration of WUAS’ 30th anniversary on 10 November, 2017.

The gala event which promises an unforgettable night of live entertainment, dancing, drinks and snacks, will be held at the Apeldoorn City Hall.

According to Wittenborg’s senior communication officer, Sinem Gülsen, the first invitations have been sent out asking invitees to save the date. Gülsen said the evening will have surprises in store, including an opening waltz by some of the members of staff.

Besides students and staff, invites will also be sent to Wittenborg alumni, education partners like the University of Brighton in the UK, Nuffic, the Ministry of Education, NVAO, NRTO and FIBAA. As one of the most international of Dutch universities, it will also invite representatives from various foreign embassies in the Netherlands.

Wittenborg’s chair of the executive board, Peter Birdsall, said the event creates an opportunity for the university to look back and reflect on everything it has achieved the past 30 years – especially the fast-paced changes of the last 5 years, including the opening of a second location in Apeldoorn and another in Amsterdam, the launch and accreditation of several new programmes, and the continuous growth in student numbers.

At the same time, the event will give a glimpse of what is in store for the next few years, such as the opening of the Vienna campus in September. Additionally, it will give attendees the opportunity to connect not only with alumni, students and staff, but also with the broader education, government and economic network Wittenborg has fostered over the years.
