Units Available for External Community During Summer

For the first time, Wittenborg has decided to make some of its unoccupied student studios available for the external community during this summer break, having listed them on Booking.com (click here to see the ad). The listed studios are all located at 5 De Ruyterstraat and they have been made available from 20 June to 15 August.

Located in Apeldoorn’s city centre, the units are clean, comfortable and well-equipped, featuring one bedroom with one bed, one bathroom with a shower and a kitchenette. The well-fitted kitchenette has a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a microwave. Among the room amenities are a washing machine, a tea and coffee maker and a dining area, as well as attractive city views.

Additionally, the studios are close to many of Apeldoorn’s main tourist attractions. These include the Het Loo Palace (3.5 km), a former royal palace of the Netherlands located within a vast green area, Apenheul Primate Park (3.3 km), and the famous CODA Museum (500 m), which hosts exhibitions by regional, national and international artists. The apartments’ current accumulated rating on Booking.com is 9.5 (“exceptional”), and guests have praised the units’ comfort and cleanliness as well as the attentiveness of the staff, among other features.

“The main reason we decided to list our studios on Booking.com is to increase the occupancy of the new facilities during the summer vacation. But we also believe that this will be an opportunity for externals to experience Wittenborg’s facilities,” explains Wittenborg Head of Operations Lasantha De Silva.

According to the president of Wittenborg, Peter Birdsall, by temporarily making its studios available to the external community, the school also intends to help promote Apeldoorn as a tourist destination. “We take pride in the quality of our student accommodation and we are also glad to be part of Apeldoorn’s landscape and community. Therefore, we thought this would also help promote the city, which is famous for its beautiful parks and green areas, as well as historical and heritage sites,” he commented.
