Wittenborg's Digital-First Approach with Full Fabric

In a move towards a digital-first and personalised admissions process, Wittenborg is set to implement Full Fabric's integrated student management system.

Full Fabric's student management system is designed to streamline operations, providing a comprehensive solution for managing recruitment, admissions and enrolment. The software is currently utilised by various universities across Europe to assist staff, applicants, alumni, as well as students throughout their academic experience.

With its key features, including the ability to create forms and landing pages, event management, email workflows, and marketing automation, a dedicated applicant and student portal, online payments and more, universities are calling it a "fantastic tool ... suited to those who want to provide a digital-first and personalised admissions journey."

Julien Mairlot, Senior Account Executive at Full Fabric, highlights the key features of the software, stating, "We're not just providing a software solution; we're acting as consultants, helping our clients exchange best practices and ensuring they increase their conversion rates."

He said that Full Fabric enables universities to manage the entire admissions and enrolment process digitally.

"This involves an online portal where the candidate can save and submit their online application, track their application status and upload electronic documents. At the other end, Full Fabric allows universities to build automated and personalised email and SMS campaigns, receive notifications of important tasks and ultimately identify applicants, better forecast enrolment numbers and better analyse data to provide actionable insights."

An automated workflow

The integration of Full Fabric's platform empowers Wittenborg to move away from traditional admissions processes. This shift is expected to boost operational efficiency, reducing manual tasks and allowing for a more automated workflow, as detailed by Mykhailo Huba, Admissions Manager at Wittenborg.

He anticipates that the new system will effectively cut down on the manual routine work, particularly in tasks such as data input.

"The implementation of this new system will automate these processes. This automation is poised to significantly reduce the time spent on labour-intensive tasks, allowing our admissions team to allocate more time to other responsibilities."

A tailored digital admissions experience

In a bid to find ways to enhance efficiency and automation, Mairlot further emphasises, "Full Fabric took a close look at Wittenborg's processes. The goal is to create an admissions experience that is not only digital but also tailored to the individual needs of each applicant."

Mairlot highlights the experience for prospective students, who are typically considered to be "digital natives".

"We aim to provide them with an incredibly straightforward and intuitive path for both application and enrolment. From the initial stages of their application until the moment they become actively involved, we've ensured that every step is logical."

The Full Fabric system is not only mobile-friendly but also exhibits a modern design, much like other popular platforms such as Facebook or Snapchat.

"Much like these popular mobile applications, our goal is to offer a modern, easy to understand and simple user experience," Mairlot explains. "We understand that users desire this consistency, whether they are booking a hotel, engaging on social media, or applying to a school."

Peter Birdsall, President of Wittenborg, says that the Wittenborg Admissions team has undergone training on the new software.

"We'll be fully transitioning to Full Fabric in January 2024. However, in December, we'll begin moving certain elements, like the existing pipeline. The goal is to build a unified and personalised admissions journey by implementing this integrated student management system at Wittenborg."
