Wittenborg Students and Staff Celebrate Halloween in Style

Annual Event Brings Costumes, Competition and Entertainment to Apeldoorn
Halloween is one of the most anticipated events on Wittenborg’s social calendar, bringing students and staff together for an evening of creativity, laughter and festive fun. Recently, the Wittenborg community in Apeldoorn gathered at Teun for its annual Halloween Party, with more than 200 students and staff attending.
For Allegra Zazzaro, Digital Content & Community Administrator, this year's celebration stood out.
“It was probably the biggest Halloween celebration I've seen since starting my bachelor's degree at Wittenborg. With more than 200 students and staff attending, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the organisation by Teun was excellent. It was great to see so many people getting involved and enjoying the evening together,” she said.
Creative Costumes Take Centre Stage
The evening featured spooky treats and a costume contest, with prizes for the best outfits. From Wednesday Addams and characters from Batman and Harry Potter to witches and more traditional Halloween costumes, attendees embraced the occasion with plenty of imagination. A student dressed as a prisoner took home the prize for the best costume.
For Marketing Communication student Dina Pakdin from Iran, the Halloween Party is a particular highlight of the year.
“I like the Halloween Party. It is the best party of the whole year, and you can see everyone being creative and really dressing up in cool costumes,” she said.
Fellow Marketing Communication student Kyal Sin Lin, also known as Hazel, from Myanmar, attended the event for the first time and enjoyed the atmosphere and variety of costumes.
“This is my first time joining the Halloween Party, and I feel like it is so vibrant. I see so many amazing costumes. Everyone is dressed up very uniquely,” she said.
The next highly anticipated event on Wittenborg’s social calendar is the annual Christmas Drinks event, taking place toward the end of the year.
