Wittenborg Connects with Prospective Students at Onderwijsbeurs Zuid

Event Showcases Possible Higher Education Paths for High School Students

From 26 to 27 September, Wittenborg participated in Onderwijsbeurs Zuid, an education fair showcasing higher education opportunities for high school students.

Held in Veldhoven and organised by Organisatie Groep Zuid, the event was attended by nearly 1,000 people. Additionally, approximately 120 educational institutions and companies were present. The programme also included various presentations and workshops for students on different topics including ‘Behaviour, Education and Upbringing’, ‘Which Study Suits You?’ and ‘Personal Strengths’.

Wittenborg was represented by Regional Admissions Manager Mykhailo Huba and Admissions Administrator Patience Orukpe.

According to Huba, the fair was a success and provided Wittenborg and other institutions with the opportunity to engage directly with students. “I enjoyed how busy the event was, and I think it went very well. The fair was neatly organised; it is surprising how one can bring that many people to a calm place like Veldhoven. This shows how seriously students and their families take education.”

For Orukpe, what stood out the most was how curious and open the visitors were about Wittenborg’s international environment and cultural diversity. “The key insight I gained from this event is that personal connection and authentic conversations strongly influence student decisions. We had great interactions with prospective students even though we had to be proactive. Events like this are important for Wittenborg because they help us build brand visibility, connect with potential students and parents and share first-hand experiences that strengthen trust and interest in our institution.”
