Background

Taoufik Samaka, DBA, is a procurement and operations professional who, since 2001, has held managerial positions in the telecom corporates sector with assignments mainly in emerging markets. He is Adjunct Professor for MBA programmes at Webster University, US. At Wittenborg, Taoufik holds the position of Senior Lecturer. He gained DBA and EMBA degrees from Toulouse Business School, France, a Master of Engineering from Saint Petersbourg State University, Russia, and international certifications in Procurement (CAPP from IFPSM), Project Management (PMP-PMI), and Privacy and Data Protection (CIPP/EU and CIPM from International Association of Privacy Professionals). Taoufik's initial research project was on the issue of the strategic role of procurement inside businesses and how the recent changes in EU privacy laws impacted further the function and the practitioners. He is very interested in topics within the management field as a whole and in particular Procurement and Supply Chain, Operations & Project Management, and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). Taoufik speaks English, French, Russian and Arabic.
