Nikita Pahwa, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Applied Sciences and Programme Coordinator at Wittenborg. She holds a PhD in Economics and has a decade of teaching and research experience. She began her teaching career in 2012 and has taught a variety of bachelor's and master's subjects. Before joining Wittenborg, she created content, managed a team and taught research and economics, while also supervising theses at Rotterdam Business School.
Prior to her teaching career, she worked on a government project in India, assisting in macroeconomic planning for a state. She is an expert in development economics, data analysis, statistics, econometrics, fiscal policy and public finance, with her PhD focusing on the impact of education spending inefficiency on educational outcomes in India.
An enthusiastic researcher, she has published in both national and international journals. At Wittenborg, she teaches subjects including Research Methods, Macro and Microeconomics – Global Perspective, Business Intelligence and Data Mining, Data Analytics and Visualisation, Change Management: New Teaching and Learning Approach, and Data Management Ethics, and serves as an academic supervisor at Wittenborg's Amsterdam study location.
