Meet Tandis Sepasgozar

With 17 years of educational experience, Tandis Sepasgozar wants to bring her learning and development expertise to a new role in the Netherlands. Originally from Iran, she holds a master’s degree in English Teaching and an MBA in Educational Management from Wittenborg.

Tandis chose Wittenborg for its international environment and the opportunity to learn from people with different cultural backgrounds. She was also drawn to the Netherlands for its friendly and open society.

“Doing an MBA in education helped me to look at education from a leadership view,” she explains. Her thesis on artificial intelligence and reflective learning also strengthened her research and analytical skills, particularly in exploring how digital tools can support workplace learning and development.

Alongside her studies, Tandis gained experience in the Dutch education system as a curriculum developer, guest lecturer and English examiner. These roles helped her develop skills in curriculum design, assessment, quality assurance and collaboration with Dutch colleagues.

She has also coordinated training sessions and trainers for Oteacher.org, an education company. When she moved to the Netherlands, she continued this work remotely, adapting to online coordination, managing different time zones and onboarding new trainers. “This taught me that I adapt best by staying organised, being flexible and communicating clearly,” she says.

Tandis describes herself as a people person who enjoys helping others grow. Having lived and worked in Iran, Italy and the Netherlands, she is comfortable working in multicultural environments. She holds a first-grade teaching qualification in English (eerstegraads bevoegdheid) recognised by the Dutch Education Executive Agency (DUO), which qualifies her to teach English at Dutch secondary schools up to pre-university level (VWO). She speaks Persian and English, has B2-level Dutch proficiency and speaks Italian at A2 level.

Currently looking for opportunities as a Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Junior Recruiter or Human Resources (HR) Coordinator, Tandis hopes to combine her educational background, coordination experience and interest in people development. In the long term, she aims to grow into an L&D specialist or adviser role, helping organisations develop their employees and make effective use of digital tools in learning.

Her friends describe her as reliable, patient and empathetic. “They know they can come to me and I'll always be there for them,” she says.
