Meet Shirin Sadeghi

Originally from Iran, Shirin Sadeghi is currently completing her MBM (Master of Business Management) with a specialisation in Data Analysis at Wittenborg. With a multidisciplinary background in engineering and finance, she combines strong analytical thinking with business and financial expertise, now further strengthened through her international experience in the Netherlands.
Before joining Wittenborg, Sadeghi built a solid academic foundation that shaped her structured and analytical approach to problem-solving. Her studies in engineering developed her technical mindset, while her master’s in finance deepened her understanding of financial analysis and decision-making.
She chose Wittenborg and the Netherlands for its practical, internationally focused education and strong connection to the business world. “What attracted me most was Wittenborg’s transparent, practice-oriented approach and its international environment,” she explains.
During her studies, she has gained hands-on experience in data migration at Stone Ridge, financial reporting and analytics at Nexent Bank, and is currently completing an internship at VidaXL, focusing on decision-making algorithms and AI-driven business applications.
In addition, she served as Vice President of the Student Council, where she contributed to student integration and community-building initiatives. She also volunteers with Buddy to Buddy in Apeldoorn, where she actively engages with the local community and continues to develop her Dutch language skills.
Looking ahead, she aims to build her career in the Netherlands in roles such as Business Analyst, Finance Analyst, or Product Analyst, combining data, finance, and technology to support data-driven decision-making.
She stays up to date with industry trends through platforms such as Medium, McKinsey & Company, and LinkedIn.
Friends and colleagues describe her as positive, adaptable, and highly motivated, with strong communication skills and a structured, analytical mindset.
