Meet Promise Nnamdi

Promise Nnamdi is studying for a master's in Business Management, specialising in Data Analytics, at Wittenborg. Originally from Nigeria, he combines a background in information technology with a strong interest in helping organisations use data to make better business decisions.  

Before joining Wittenborg, Promise completed a BSc/BEd in Computer Science Education at Michael Okpara University. Through his academic and professional experience, he became interested in the growing role of data in shaping business strategy, improving operations and supporting organisational growth. This motivated him to further develop his business and analytical skills through postgraduate study.  

The practical nature of Wittenborg's programme appealed to Promise, particularly the opportunity to apply analytical concepts to real business challenges. During his studies, he has strengthened his research, presentation and communication skills while gaining a broader understanding of how data can be used to support organisational performance.  

Alongside his studies, Promise has gained experience across the technology, energy and consulting sectors. These roles have exposed him to different business environments and helped him develop the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

A key learning experience came during a data analyst internship, where he worked as part of a team developing an application to present business insights to stakeholders. Faced with tight deadlines, he quickly learned new AI tools, contributed to the development process and worked closely with teammates to refine the final solution. The project was delivered successfully and reinforced the importance of adaptability, collaboration and clear communication.  

One of the aspects of Wittenborg he values most is the opportunity to study alongside students from different countries and professional backgrounds. This international environment has broadened his perspective and strengthened his ability to work across cultures.  

Outside the classroom, Promise keeps up to date with developments in data analytics and technology through professional courses, industry content and practical projects. He enjoys learning new skills and exploring how emerging technologies can create value for businesses.

Friends describe him as ambitious, curious, hardworking and approachable. He enjoys meeting new people, exchanging ideas and finding practical solutions to challenges.  

After completing his master's degree, Promise hopes to build a career that combines data analytics, business operations and artificial intelligence. He is particularly interested in opportunities within Data Analytics, Business Analytics and Supply Chain Analytics, especially in the supply chain, energy and construction sectors. His long-term ambition is to help organisations use technology and data more effectively to improve performance and support sustainable growth.
