Meet Matin Rouhipourfard

Having grown up and studied across multiple countries, Matin Rouhipourfard developed an international outlook from an early age. As a graduate from Iran with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wittenborg, he has built a strong foundation in administration, organisation and client- and customer-focused service.

Matin completed his primary and secondary education in Malaysia and Georgia before pursuing higher education in the Netherlands. Wittenborg's international environment and practical approach to learning appealed to him, while studying in Amsterdam provided opportunities to gain experience in one of Europe's leading hospitality destinations.

During his studies, Matin developed skills in administrative processes, financial administration and cross-departmental coordination. Through his traineeship at Hyatt Regency Amsterdam, he gained hands-on experience with reservations and CRM systems, billing procedures and customer service, skills that translate directly into office and administrative support roles. Balancing his studies with part-time work also strengthened his organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.

Reflecting on his journey, Matin says: "Growing up between Iran, Malaysia, and Georgia gave me an early appreciation for cultural diversity and for the way genuine hospitality can make people feel at home anywhere in the world, which drew me naturally toward Hospitality and Tourism Management."

Fluent in English and Persian, with basic Dutch language skills, Matin enjoys working in multicultural environments and building positive experiences for both guests and colleagues. He describes himself as adaptable, organised and guest-focused, while friends would describe him as resilient, open-minded and kind.

Having completed his degree, Matin is seeking opportunities in administrative, office support, project management and coordination roles in the Netherlands, with an interest in marketing and communications-related coordination.
