Meet Imasha Erangi

A passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to broaden her professional horizons led Imasha Erangi to choose Wittenborg to advance her career. Originally from Sri Lanka, she is currently pursuing a Master of Business Management (MBM) in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. 

Before joining Wittenborg, Imasha earned a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from ESOFT Metro Campus, in collaboration with London Metropolitan University, along with a Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business Management. Her education is complemented by over nine years of experience as an Administrative Specialist, where she developed expertise in business operations, organisational management and strategic planning. 

Imasha’s motivation for choosing the MBM programme stems from her passion for business development and innovation. “I wanted to expand my knowledge in entrepreneurship and innovative strategies to take my career to the next level,” she explains. She chose Wittenborg for its international environment and practical approach to real-world business challenges, with the Netherlands offering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. 

During her studies, Imasha sharpened her analytical thinking, leadership and decision-making skills, while gaining insights into global market dynamics. Her previous administrative roles have enhanced her organisational and communication abilities and strengthened her capacity to adapt to new responsibilities quickly. For example, when assigned to oversee a project on process automation, she proactively sought training and guidance to successfully implement the system, showcasing her adaptability and problem-solving skills. 

Looking ahead, Imasha aims to leverage her combined expertise in administration and entrepreneurship to pursue roles in business development, operations management or strategic planning. She is also open to entrepreneurial ventures in the future, driven by a goal to foster innovation and support organisational growth.
