A representative of the Indonesian Embassy in the Netherlands visited Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences recently to discuss cooperation between the parties on Worldproef Day – hosted by Indonesia this year, on 1 July 2018.
Future cooperation with Indonesia in the field of education was also discussed with the representative, Renata Siagian, ministerial counsellor for socio-culture at the embassy. She met with Wittenborg CEO, Maggie Feng, and admission assistant, Yanti Setiawan, who is Indonesian. Also at the meeting was Simon Boon, president of the Gelre Association, international culture, partnership & business.
Worldproef is an annual international culture market with various stalls representing different countries’ cuisines, arts, special products and services. The event offers the opportunity to meet and get to know other cultures, emphasising the meaning of collaboration between different countries and cultures. It will take place in Oranje Park. More details will be released later. It is expected that the event will feature a lot of activities for both children and adults.
Wittenborg will also have a stand at the event involving some of its international students, including Indonesian students.
