Code of Conduct
Wittenborg Business School (Hogeschool Wittenborg) is signature to the Netherlands Code of Conduct for Providers of International Education in the Netherlands. This is a requirement for enrollment of students who require a study visa (non-EU) and regulates the level of English of students arriving to study in the Netherlands.
Wittenborg is also signatory to the Code of Conduct of education providers affiliated to the branch organisation, the Paepon, representing all non directly state funded institutions in the Netherlands
Netherlands Code of Conduct: hallmark for higher education
The Code of Conduct with respect to International Students in Dutch Higher Education came into effect on 1 May 2006. The Code provides international students with a guarantee of the quality of higher education.
Furthermore, international students will only be eligible for a study visa if they enroll at an institution that has signed up to the Code of Conduct. Similarly, scholarships from the Huygens Scholarship Programme can only be awarded to applicants whose chosen programme of study is taught at an institution that has signed the Code.
A public register of all signatories to the Code is maintained by the IB-Groep, who have published a list of all institutions that have signed up to the Code on the website http://www.internationalstudy.nl/. The full text of the Code of Conduct can also be downloaded from the website.
The IB-Groep also acts as the secretariat of an independent committee whose role is to ensure compliance with the Code. Anyone with a serious complaint about breaches of the Code can bring it to the attention of the committee.
