English Proficiency Tests

The table below shows the equivalent scores of various English language proficiency tests, including IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, and Cambridge ESOL.

Green scores mark the minimum requirement for undergraduate programmes.
Blue scores mark the minimum requirement for postgraduate programmes.
 

* Provided that the student passed both parts "Speaking and Writing" and "Listening and Reading".

For undergraduate students: if the English language proficiency requirements are not met, but the student has an IELTS score of at least a 5.5 and less then a 6.0, the student can join the Preparation Course for half a year. When successfully completed, raising his/her score to the required minimum or higher, and provided that all other requirements for the programme are met, he/she can enroll directly into the undergraduate programme.

For postgraduate students: if the English language proficiency requirements are not met, but the student has an IELTS score of at least a 6.0 and less then a 6.5, the student can join the Preparation Course for half a year. When successfully completed, raising his/her score to the required minimum or higher, and provided that all other requirements for the programme are met, he/she can enroll directly into the postgraduate programme.
