This as part of a continuing move to formalise Dutch higher education, in such a way that its international reputation is maintained and enhanced.
WUP 21/11/2014 – Wittenborg IBA students to get additional internationally recognized NIMA B Certificates! - As of this week Wittenborg University can add another feather to its cap – it has today signed an agreement to become an Education Partner with the Netherlands Institute for Marketing (NIMA), which is the professional association and exam institute in the field of marketing. Wittenborg University’s IBA programmes in Economics & Management, Marketing & Communication & Hospitality Management have been awarded a NIMA accreditation for the marketing modules in the bachelor degree programme. The accreditation was awarded from 1 August 2014.
WUP 25/04/2014 - a FIBAA Accreditation Auditing Panel return to Wittenborg for the new MBA - As part of accrediting a new Master program at Wittenborg University, the i-MBA (International Master of Business Administration), current students and graduates of the university were recently interviewed by a panel of experts in quality assurance. Representatives from FIBAA - a European internationally-oriented agency for quality assurance and development in higher education who is currently reviewing the proposed Wittenborg MBA - visited Wittenborg on Friday.
WUP 16/7/2013 - The Broad Bachelor – a New Concept? September will see a new Education Act in the Netherlands entitled ‘Kwaliteit in Verscheidenheid Hoger Onderwijs’ which is literally translated as Quality in Diverse Higher Education. The Act will enable academic 3 year Bachelor programmes to be offered by Dutch “Hogescholen” (Universities of Applied Sciences) and incorporate the concept of the Associate Degree, which until now has only been run as a pilot at the participating institutions. The new Act will also enable institutions to cluster degree programmes into what is being termed “the broad Bachelor degree”.
WUP 22/04/2013 - New Bachelor EBA Accredited! - Wittenborg University's Bachelor Entrepreneurial Business Administration accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) - Wittenborg was pleased to receive a positive decision of accreditation from FIBAA last Friday for its Bachelor of Business Administration focused on entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship in business. The programme, which opens in September, is completely geared towards on the entrepreneurial student - the student who wants to combine study with setting up and running their own company! Teachers include entrepreneurs from the Netherlands, Europe, North America and Asia and from the start students are asked to take on business projects that include sales and product development.
