Nikita Pahwa, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Applied Sciences at Wittenborg. She holds a PhD in Economics. She is an academic with a decade of teaching and research experience. In 2012, she embarked on her teaching journey and has taught various bachelor's and master's subjects. Before joining Wittenborg, she created content, managed a team and taught research, economics and undertook the role of thesis supervisor at Rotterdam Business School, Rotterdam. Before her teaching career began, she worked for a government project in India where she assisted in macroeconomic planning for a state in India.

She is an expert in the area of Development Economics, Data Analysis, Statistics, Econometrics, Fiscal policy and Public Finance. Her PhD emphasised the role of education spending inefficiency on educational outcomes in India. She is an enthusiastic researcher with various publications in national and international journals.

She is responsible for teaching subjects of Research Methods, Macro & Microeconomic - Global Perspective, Business Intelligence and Data Mining, Data Analytics & Visualisation, Change Management: New Teaching and Learning Approach, as well as Data Management Ethics, among other responsibilities at Wittenborg. She is also an academic supervisor at Wittenborg's Amsterdam study location.
