Meet Valentina Omidiji

With a strong academic background and hands-on experience, Valentina Omidiji is well-prepared to start a successful career in the Netherlands. Originally from Nigeria, she recently completed a Master of Business Management in Human Resources at Wittenborg. 

Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Ilorin. She highlights that she was drawn to Wittenborg by its focus on diversity and inclusivity.  

During Valentina’s studies, she developed key competencies in human relations, communication and teamwork. She also emphasises the value of Wittenborg’s project weeks, which offered broader insights into real-world issues. “They were interesting and enlightening,” she recalls. 

In addition to her academic work, Valentina completed an internship in the Netherlands, giving her first-hand experience with Dutch work culture. Her time abroad has further strengthened her adaptability and cultural awareness, qualities that are essential in international work environments. 

Currently seeking a role in Human Resources, Valentina describes herself as detail-oriented, empathetic and a strong team player. “When faced with difficulties, I believe in myself, set clear goals and establish a timeframe for them to be achieved. I strive to be focused, and it pays off,” she says.
