Michael Luxenberger, MA, is a teacher at ITM in Bad Vöslau and as such responsible for two modules, namely, Contemporary Issues in the International Service Industry and Intercultural Management. He holds a Magister in English, Geography and Economics (teacher education programme) from the University of Graz, Austria, 2016 and a Master of Arts in Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management from FH Wien der WKW, Austria, 2019. Next to his appointment at Wittenborg, Luxenberger is a teacher at HTL Wien 10, Austria. Previously, he worked as a teacher at Graz International Bilingual School, Front Office and Social Media Assistant at Hotel Wiesler in Graz. Michael’s research focuses on current trends and issues in the tourist industries, and investigates the role of social media in creating authentic tourist experiences. His spheres of interest are trends, social media, marketing, authenticity, sustainability, overtourism.
