Maria Vrasida, PhD, holds a PhD from the University of Thessaly (Greece) in the field of urban and spatial planning, as well as a Master in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Liverpool (UK). Maria currently works as a tourism development consultant for several municipalities in Greece, and teaches tourism planning and management-related courses in many academic institutions. Her research interests and work experience in the field of tourism and planning issues provide her with an up-to-date overview of the subject. Maria’s spatial, architectural background has allowed her to maintain a close relationship between theoretical models and current practices and with the ability to transform complex theoretical concepts into useable planning and marketing tools. At Wittenborg, Maria teaches Event Theory & Practice to our MBM students.
