Gary earned his PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Brighton, UK, in 1999 and PhD in final experimental research from Queensland University, Australia, in the same year. As an expert in Applied Sport and Exercise Science, he is motivated by applying theory to sporting challenges. Having coached at six Paralympic Games he has a strong reputation in high performance sport. In research, he has developed concepts that are applied in training techniques in sport. He has written chapters on paralympic sport, published on the demands of Premier League football as well as key work in cardiology and exercise.
