She obtained her BA in International Hospitality Management at Stenden University continued by an MA in International Service Management as a double degree from Stenden University and London Metropolitan University. The last 12 years she has been working in the hospitality industry, eco-tourism, several NGOs and hospitality universities all over the globe. By working with Wittenborg University she wishes to develop knowledge in areas such as customer service, CSR within the hospitality industry and experiential hospitality through lectures, research and project weeks.
She is very internationally oriented with passions for hospitality, international development and project management. Therefore, her career is diverse, she has been teaching BA and MA students in The Netherlands as well as Switzerland, Thailand and Bulgaria for several years.
She also organized several projects during the World Cup Soccer in South Africa in 2010 while working for an NGO concerned with sports and development.
Her interest for international development is strong therefore She volunteered for a Mongolian NGO working on sustainable tourism, there she simultaneously performed research in the field of Pro Poor Tourism. Additionally, she volunteered as a Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism
advisor in the hinterlands of Guyana, South America.
The last few years she is working at Wittenborg University as a hospitality lecturer, Project Week coordinator and Academic tutor.
