Introduction: 
This course covers all the essentials of modern supply chain management, manufacturing planning and control systems, purchasing, and physical distribution.
Goals: 
  • Explain the impact of the corporate environment on the purchasing & supply function of an enterprise, and to show how this function interrelates with the rest of the organisation.
  • How the concept of forecasting as a prelude to planning works and the importance of planning
  • How to determine and specify all the different dimensions of what the enterprise needs to purchase.
  • Understand the purchasing function, objectives and cycles
  • Provide the skills and know-how to  develop a system for planning and controlling the flow of materials through distribution and manufacturing operations

  • Difficult reading and understanding material – 3 pages per hour

  • Easy reading and understanding  material – 7 pages per hour
