Introduction: 
By developing and practicing the material in Training in Interpersonal Skills, students can learn how to build productive relationships for any situation. This text also helps students master the skills necessary for personal and organizational effectiveness such as self-management, communication, teaming, and problem solving. Students are also provided with information to master self-management, communication, teaming, problem-solving, and leadership abilities such as persuasion, politicking, goal setting, motivating, coaching, and managing change.
Goals: 
  • Understand the relationship between effective interpersonal skills and successful communication
  • Is able to reflect on and assess their own i.p.s. strengths and weaknesses
  • Can identify different i.p.s. styles as well as their own
  • Can identify and implement the elements of good communication and influencing (persuading) skills
  • Identify and improve self management skills
  • Understand the determinants of effective group processes
  • Can make people feel included in the business process
  • Understands the techniques required to improve negotiation skills
